Information for teaching staff

Examinations and the vhb

Students who attend a course organised by the Virtual University of Bavaria (vhb) can acquire a graded certificate of achievement. Examinations that may be required to obtain a certificate are:

  • online attendance certificates (eg certificate of achievement as a prerequisite for personal attendance at a practical course, a tutorial or examination).
  • Graded certificate of achievement acquired at a brick-and-mortar university (studies-related certificates or written examinations)
  • individual certificates of performance acquired on the basis of an online seminar(so-called Scheine)

The course providers publish special information on the examination in the course programme.

In as far as examinations requiring personal attendance are not already offered at a nearby university, local examinations can be organised on request.
