With the number of international students at universities steadily increasing, there is a growing demand for German as a foreign language courses. The Virtuelle Hochschule Bayern (vhb) offers a wide range of different digital courses and is continuously expanding its course programme.

The following digital teaching formats are available:

• CLASSIC vhb: Courses that count towards a university degree with ECTS credits and tutorial support, free of charge for students at our member universities
• OPEN vhb: Courses that are freely accessible to all interested parties
• SMART vhb: Learning units designed for flexible use to supplement classroom-based study, for students at our member universities
